Orinohama, Ishinomaki, Miyagi
Going further from Hamagurihama, we come upon Orinohama.
Here houses are built on stones piled up on the steep slope, and these houses located at a higher level seem to have almost escaped the tsunami. However, I learn that houses and work sheds lower down were severely damaged, and most of the fishing gear was washed away.
