They say that camellia oil absorbs into the skin fast and is recognized as the highest quality beauty oil in the world. In Oshima, Kesennuma, camellia has attracted attention again as a local tourist resource, and camellia trees are cultivated to make and sell camellia oil.

On this day, volunteers from Sendai, Tokyo and other areas conducted work to improve the environment of the mountain in which camellia tress are planted for the recovery of Oshima.
