Hamagurihama, Ishinomaki, Miyagi: A Quiet Sea
On our way to Kobuchihama, we got lost and at the end of the road, we found Hamagurihama beach. When we visited, it was a quiet, and we could hear the sound of waves.
The effects of the tsunami clearly remain. The concrete bridge is broken and scattered. Fishing gear is washed ashore, and houses damaged by the tsunami are dotted along the coastline, waiting to be demolished.
