Traces left on pine trees
Ido, Wakabayashi-ku, Sendai
On the way to Teizan Canal through the Adventure Field, I see a lot of pine trees that have been washed up by the tsunami and tangled up in buildings.
The pine trees have been uniformly leveled to the ground. I learn that people who experienced the tsunami were frightened not only by the sight itself, but also by the sound of pine trees falling to the ground one after another.
On the surface of the pine trees, I see some traces that seem to be from the tsunami hitting them. The scars are located about 4 to 5 meters high.
