[School and the Earthquake Disaster] Shichigo Elementary School, Sendai City
The situation of evacuees varies from person to person. The most important thing is to listen to them and understand their views and reflect this in our aid activities.
The aid activities of NPOs were a great help in terms of psychologically caring for children affected by the disaster. A positive aspect of living at the shelter was that local people now feel closer to this school, thinking of it as “our school.”
