[Evacuation Route Research Institute] The Case of Ido, Wakabayashi-ku, Sendai (Seaside Park Adventure Field) Part 1
Gathering clues to find the route for tomorrow.
There were about 20 visitors at the park on March 11th. After evacuating the visitors, two staff were patrolling the park to make sure no one was left behind when a local family of three came evacuating to the park. They look back at the hours after the earthquake -- evacuating from the tsunami and being rescued.
*The tsunami reached the park at around 15:55.
Evacuation Route Research Institute:
a series that focuses on how people spent the time between the earthquake and the arrival of the tsunami on March 11. By establishing the time they reached higher ground and the time they were rescued, the series studies the evacuation routes of people who survived the tsunami.
