I was in the office in Minato-ku, Tokyo when the earthquake struck. I immediately attempted to contact sendai mediatheque office, but I could not get through by phone or email. Three weeks later, when I came to Sendai and saw the situation at mediatheque, I was stunned. The time mediatheque opened more than 10 years ago is still burned into my memory. There is no other place that reminds me of the fact that “buildings breath” like sendai mediatheque.
