7-Eleven Sendai Gamou Minami Store
Okada and Gamou were among parts of Sendai that suffered extensive tsunami damage.
The 7-Eleven Gamou Minami store, located along prefectural road route 10, was heavily damaged as well. Since I had a very strong personal attachment to this store, which had been managing for 15 years, I believed that it was my mission to reopen the store as quickly as possible to serve my customers. I was surprised at how happy our customers were when we resumed business from a temporary vending van.
*7-Eleven Gamou Minami Store closed down as of August 2011.
