Yoshimi Akama works as a receptionist and a guide at the Miyatoko Historical Village that operates three cultural facilities in Taiwa (formerly Miyatoko) in the Kurokawa district, Miyagi. Although the facilities were not seriously damaged in the earthquake, Ms. Akama donned her coat and helped with the recovery work; it was very cold in March 2011.
